During the past decade, the law school has been in the forefront of curricular innovation. Recognizing the rapid changes that are occurring in legal practice and the legal profession, Scalia Law School has been a pioneer in providing its students with a unique curriculum that gives students correspondingly unique advantages in today's competitive employment market.

For 15 years, Scalia Law’s employment rate has outpaced the national law graduate employment rate.
The abundance of career opportunities for Scalia Law graduates stems not only from our students’ historically strong work ethic and strategic location in the Washington, D.C. area but also from our exceptional academic and career programming. Scalia Law is one of the only schools in the nation with a focus on the intersection of law and economics. Our nationally acclaimed Law & Economics Center introduces prospective employers of all types to the Scalia Law community through dozens of academic conferences and scholarly research. The concentration of law and economics training and scholars has proven invaluable to hundreds of graduates working in business and regulatory positions.
Scalia Law gives students the flexibility they need to best prepare for their specific career goals. For those already in a career, Scalia Law’s part-time program stands on equal footing with its full-time program and allows students to take evening classes and pursue clinics and extracurricular activities without interrupting work. Need to switch from the full-time to the part-time program to pursue a job lead? No problem. Students can toggle back and forth between day and evening courses as career opportunities arise, and nearly 90% of the student body participates in clinical, externship, and advocacy training programs. Would you like to specialize in one or more areas of the law? Scalia Law has 18 specialty tracks and concentrations in some of the hottest practices areas today.
Finally, Scalia Law offers extraordinarily rich research, writing, and professional development programming. Our two-year Legal Research, Writing and Analysis Program exposes students in small group settings to a wide range of legal documents and research tools. Career development programs begin the moment students enter. First-year students participate in one-on-one counseling meetings and receive further individualized attention from their faculty advisors and alumni mentors. Also, throughout the first year, students progress through our Professionalism and Leadership Development Program. This program brings in leaders from bench, bar, and business to provide training on oral communication skills, law firm economics, time management, ethics, and more.

Our Exceptional Faculty
The Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University employs 120 full-time and adjunct faculty members drawn from some of the top law firms and legal institutions in the nation. Our professors have worked in the White House, argued before the Supreme Court, and served as ambassadors to our most important allies and trading partners. Ranked 21st in the nation for scholarly impact, the Scalia Law faculty’s output is also among the most downloaded on the Social Science Research Network, ranking 15th overall (July 2015 SSRN Top U.S. Law Schools).
